Bexleyheath Chapel

Lucy Rook (1838-1900) and Henry William Hughes (1829-1916) were married on 1 March 1857 at the chapel to St. Mary's, Oaklands Road, Bexleyheath. The foundation stone was laid in 1835 and this tower and spire were added in 1851. The body of the church was demolished in 1878 but the tower stood for another for 48 years until it was demolished in 1926.
